Bably is a baby tracker app built by a small independent team. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what control you have over it. Short version: we collect what we need to make the app work, we do not sell or share it for advertising, and you can delete everything at any time.
Who we are
Bably is the controller of personal data described in this policy. Reach us at bably@k8n.pro.
What we collect
- Account: email address if you sign in with email, Google or Apple. Anonymous use generates an internal user ID with no personal data.
- Child profile: name, birth date, sex and tracking preferences.
- Activity logs: feedings, sleeps, diapers, growth, temperature, mood, appointments.
- Device data: timezone, locale, push notification token if enabled.
- Subscription data: Apple sends us the transaction ID, product ID, expiration and renewal status.
What we do NOT collect
- No advertising identifiers.
- No third-party trackers.
- No location data.
- We do not sell or share your data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How we use the data
- To provide tracking, statistics, reminders and family sharing.
- To deliver push notifications you have enabled.
- To verify your App Store subscription.
California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, the sources, and the purposes; the right to request deletion; the right to correct inaccurate information; and the right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information. To exercise any of these rights, email bably@k8n.pro. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Family sharing inside the app
If you invite a caregiver, they receive access to the child profiles and activity logs you share with them. You can revoke access at any time in Settings → Family.
Retention
We keep your data while your account exists. Delete your account in Settings → Account and we remove everything immediately and irreversibly.
Subprocessors
- Apple — App Store, APNs, StoreKit.
- Google — Sign in with Google (only if you use it).
- Contabo — hosting (data centre in Germany — EU/EEA).
- Cloudflare — off-site database backups (R2).
Children (COPPA)
Bably is intended for parents and caregivers tracking their own infants and young children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated through the app at least 30 days before they take effect.
